Day Workshop: The Jewel in the Lotus
Saturday 1 November 10am – 4pm
Engage your body, imagination and emotions and take a deep dive into parables and folk stories from the Buddhist tradition.
Following his much loved workshop in 2024, Bodhinaya returns to Adelaide for another 'Dharma and Drama' Day.
This will be an experiential workshop exploring our responses to symbols, metaphors and myth.
With over 20 years experience as a Drama Therapist, Bodhinaya is skilled in helping people explore safely and have fun.
You are invited to lean into natural playfulness and perhaps discover latent treasures you didn’t know you had!
This event is suitable for any level of experience with Buddhism and those new to Triratna.
No previous experience of drama or the arts is required, just a willingness to engage in the potential of the arts for exploration and play.
The retreat will be led by Bodhinaya, a visiting Order Member who says “I was ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order in May 2017 at Guhyaloka in Spain. My approach to drama is informed by being a drama therapist for over twenty years, believing everyone has the capacity to harness their imagination for change and transformation. My skill is helping people who have none or very limited experience of drama to find pleasure, fun and enjoyment from play.”
