Introductory Meditation Course

Introductory Meditation Course

Would you like to feel calmer? Less caught up in the busy-ness of everyday life? And experience a sense of peace and freedom?

For absolute beginners and anyone wanting to learn body awareness, breath-based meditation and compassion-based kindly awareness meditation.

Come and learn how to meditate with our experienced meditation teaching team.

Over four 1.5-hour sessions we will lead you through guided meditations and help you set up your own mindfulness and meditation practice. We will also work with you on establishing a good meditation posture, how to start and keep meditating at home, as well as looking at how to recognise and deal with the type of thoughts and obstructions that arise during meditations; and discuss the natural states of joy and freedom that can arise with a regular meditation practice.

The traditional meditations that we cover in this course are: the Body Scan Meditation, the Mindfulness of Breathing, and the Metta Bhavana.
